Certificate Issuance Service
(Current Students)
The Certificate Issuance Service allows you to receive necessary certificates by applying online and paying via credit card, cash payment at a convenience store, mobile carrier billing, or multi-payment network. You can print out various types of certificates using the multi-function copy machines provided in convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson) throughout Japan.
Current students can use this service to apply in advance for various necessary certificates, which can then be printed out using the on-campus issuing machines. (8:30-17:00 / Weekdays only)

*The certificate issuing service is currently not available to non-degree students enrolled in the university. Please apply at the appropriate office in your faculty, graduate school, etc.
*If you have entered a higher-level program from within the university and wish to have a certificate issued free of charge for a status other than that of your current enrollment (Undergraduate or Master’s Program) but are unable to select a certificate for any other status on the Application Screen, please apply at the appropriate office in your faculty, graduate school, etc.
*If you need an English language version of your Academic Transcript, Academic Transcript and Statement on the Expected Date of Graduation, or Academic Transcript and Statement on the Expected Date of Completion, it is currently not possible to print these out at a convenience store or using an on-campus issuing machine. If you wish to receive an English language version of one of these certificates, please follow the procedure below to receive it at the appropriate office in your faculty, graduate school, etc.
1. After logging in, select “Receive by Mail.”
2. Select the certificate you need and the number of copies.
3. Select “Receive at Office” in the Destination category.
Postal delivery is not available. If you mistakenly select “Domestic Ordinary Mail,” “Domestic Express Mail,” or “Domestic Registered Mail” in the Destination category, you will be charged postage. Please note that postage cannot be refunded, even if due to a mistake.
*It takes several days to issue a certificate, so please apply well in advance. Please refer to your faculty’s website for details on the number of days.

7-Eleven offers multi-function copy machines compatible with the netprint service provided by FUJIFILM Business Innovation Corp.
Please note that some stores do not have multi-function copy machines.
[FamilyMart] [Lawson]
FamilyMart and Lawson offer multi-function copy machines compatible with the Network Print service provided by Sharp Marketing Japan Corp.
Please note that some convenience stores do not support the Network Print service.
・Printing of digital watermarks
Certificates printed out using this service make use of POPITA technology to protect against counterfeiting.
The certificates cannot be copied and used.

・Precaution when submitting certificates to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
There have been cases of certificates issued from on-campus issuing machines and convenience stores not being accepted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not accept certificates featuring POPITA (digital watermark) output from these locations.

Please consult with your faculty, graduate school, etc. prior to submitting certificates to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Please be aware that it may take some time to issue a certificate that is not watermarked.
■Certificate Application Fees
A fee of 400 yen is charged per certificate. (There is no charge for certificates printed out using an on-campus issuing machine.)
Printing out a certificate at a convenience store incurs a separate printing fee of 60 yen per copy.
Fees will not be refunded for completed applications in which the number and/or type of certificate were entered incorrectly.

Certificates that are issuable at convenience stores make use of POPITA technology to protect against counterfeiting.
If you receive a certificate issued by the university via a convenience store, you can verify the authenticity of the certificate using the POPITA technology.
